Broken

After two weeks of fever, coughing, Dr's visits and being stuck inside during July, Croup has left our house! :)

Last week we had something happen that I have been meaning to share, but alas, I could not find the time. So here it is now.

I have been awoken several times a night for the last couple of weeks, and most nights slept in ABC's room. One of the few nights I spent in my bed, I was awoken at 5am to Brody shouting, "Mommy, Mommy HELP!".

I rush in to their room, waking up as I go.

"Baby, Mommy's here, what's wrong?"

"Mommy, my legs don't work right anymore! They are in BIG trouble!!!"

Concerned, I say, "What happened, do they hurt?"

Brody, completely disgusted with his legs, "They keep taking their blanket OFF, they won't leave it ON! They don't LIKE THEIR BLANKET!!! UUUGGGHHH!!!"(He really made that noise.)

Trying not burst into hysterics, I reassured him that his legs were just fine, covered them back up and told "them" to stay under their blanket so Brody could sleep.

Not a bad way to start the day, with a smile that is! :)

Please feel free to leave a comment, I'd love to know who's out there! :)

I hope you are keeping a journal of the cute things they do and say. Trust me you will forget them. As a mom of a 26 and 28 year old I regret not doing that. My son had some of the cutest excuses for getting out of bed and I can't remember not a one. And they weren't just to get a drink of water. This one is priceless and needs to be recorded.

Amber, that is so cute! I can really picture it all playing out in my head! LoL! Our kids will say and do the darnest things. One of the hardest parts of parenthood is keeping a straight face with some of the antics that they come up with. LOL

Hey!! I'm out here!! Visiting your blog from Georgia. I always wonder if anyone is out there too; I've given up on comments to my little blog. But that's ok, y'know?
I'm really just putting my stories out there for myself and our family so that I don't have to rely on my rotten memory years from now. I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, much less whatever it was that my sweetest boy said or did last Tuesday!

Such a cute story from your family! Kids are so funny and I agree with Tami above, it's hard not to laugh!

Take care.
